Review
First, this item is way overpriced for what it is. It's pretty flimsy. Ours broke soon after we begin to use it. Unfortunately, right before it broke I had shipped one to a friend for his little girl. Theirs broke very soon after too. Of note, our kids were pretty little and not at a point to where they could be destructive. So it wasn't wear and tear due to a child. The turtle just pooped out. It's a great concept; I just wish I hadn't spent so much on not one, but two of them.
I bought this for m 4 y.o. with a gift certificate and straight out of the box he loved it and now wont go to sleep without it being on. I agree that it might not have all the "bells and whistles" from a grown ups perspective of what it "could do" but, that's why it's in his room not ours! For thirty odd bucks, a 4 year old who wants to turn the lights out is a pretty good swap.
