- Pie is the little pink creature in our collection and our 5 month old absolutely loves. The natural rubber used to build this toy is very soft, making it a pleasure to touch baby, soft and compressible for small hands. Our daughter happily chewing Pie "horns" and "feet" and his cheeks. This toy is filled with a cry, which pleases our daughter when she does her. Fortunately for us, the toy is not as sensitive as it creaks constantly, just enough for the baby to enjoy. Pie is the perfect size for little hands, not too big or too small and very light, so little, when the arms fly, nobody gets hurt, and there are no sharp edges sore gums baby because ultimately all parties to Pius in his mouth. I recommend this adorable toy for anyone looking for something unusual and fun that will attract and retain the interest of the baby.
- I'm sure I saw the toys just like that animal and they are not as expensive for a small item like that. I bought this on another site for just under $. Unfort I have not read anything about this or other description of the site. toy that squeaks b / c I usually do not like grinding and probably would not buy, but even so, the grating is exactly what you'd find in a toy dog, its strong and brutal, and not Nice happy for parent or child and I think this sounds anytime the key baby, although this may be true for me b / c my baby is older than most using this toy. She is 12 mos. I was looking for a toy teething rubber quality to it, it seems like rubber toys are what she loves to chew, and I thought it would be better for her to adopt something actually for the purpose of Teething ... but I find it doesn't matter what I think ... it will break its first teeth on everything that makes him happy. As for feeling like rubber, I think it was a strange feeling soft floppy / like a rubber chicken, and my daughter can not find it very comfortable to hold even though I do not think it would be like Chewing on nubb little on the head if she gave him more chance. I think I'll get another set of these rubber squirter toys made for the tank B / C seems to be what satisfies his needs by eating the best and you get a package for less money than one of these little guy.
- I bought this toy Chewy because it is made by the same company that makes Sophie the Giraffe. The texture is the same, but the base part of the toy is too large for small hands to grasp. It is also difficult to put into the mouth of my baby. She tries to chew, but can not get the bumps on top of his head, making it ineffective for chewing.

- This teether is easier for my 5 month old daughter to get in her mouth than Sophie la girafe. She loved it at first sight and enjoyed rubbing the handle (?) at the top against her gums. A little odd-looking, all right, but it sure makes baby happy.
- My 6 months old has been started since she was 3 mths old. My husband bought this and she loves it. It's a great learning tool as well. Babies can distinguish other toys because of the smell. When we got it I thought it had bought a toy dog until I read on the packaging. This is definitely her favorite. We really can not go anywhere without him. I think it should be issued when your child begins to teeth in the office of Dr's!

- This little guy - we call him "blue man" - is odd looking but my 7 m.o. daughter loves him. She got him when she was 2 months old and has loved him more and more. He's made out of the same soft but sturdy rubber that Sophie the Giraffe is made out of. He squeaks when you squeeze him and the air going in and out makes his head bob up and down. The knob on the top of his head is kind of like a nipple and my daughter sucks on it like it is - it's a toy, a squeaker, a pacifier, etc. We take "blue man" everywhere. He's just the right size for little hands. But, like Sophie, don't get him wet - it muffles his squeak and it's really hard to get the water out.
- many say its an exact replica of a dog toy, but way softer and top makes wonderful sucky toy, paint is cute and i think the squeak noise is much different then a dog toy and is much more bearable then i thought it'd be, it does have an smell that reminds me of a fresh Halloween mask, but im sure with a few more washes with mild soap and a good rinse off will kill it off a bit. i am happy with the purchase is a bit pricey though

- My four month old baby loves this giraffe! I tried other teethers that were more standard, and he couldn't stand them. Ring teethers were too huge in all areas to get into his mouth at all, and the plastic was too hard and brittle and seemed to cause him pain.
This Sophie teether is completely different. Some reviewers compared it to a dog toy, and I guess in some ways it's similar, but the rubber is a much finer grade and so much softer than any dog toy I've ever witnessed. It has a pleasant scent and taste as well. It's easy for my son to hold on to and he seems to like looking at it and "coos" to it.
Another reviewer called it a gagging hazard. It's no more a gagging hazard than your child's own fingers. As with any toy, your children should be supervised at play, but I think it's impossible for your child to choke on the Sophie teether. It's large and durable. My son has been using his Sophie for weeks without incident. They've been making Sophie giraffes for generations, the brand has stood the test of time.
Beautifully painted with natural food paint, this toy evokes a feeling of nostalgia, it will make for an adorable keepsake long after your baby outgrows it. Worth the cost; throw away a few bucks on something your child will not use, or spend just a few dollars more for this cherishable giraffe. I intend to purchase more items from Vulli. My baby's gums are soothed and his smile is super happy!
