Product Description
Repositionable toys include a soft hanging monkey, a soft toucan with jingle, an elephant with soft ears and a spinner with beads, a parrot with a paddle spinner and a frog character mirror. Two satin butterflies fly above baby as colored lights pulse on and off while playing music. The carpet is spacious with a padded backrest of the rainforest, sun ray ribbons, and a soft tiger tail. A large soft giraffe at the bottom of the rainbow, skies and two points on which to link toys for children. Mom can also link the toys to one of three connection points on the table, as one of the five focal points head for a total of 11 places to link toys for children. Mom can choose between three modes of play: Baby mode allows the movements of the Child is the time to play eight to 12 seconds of lights and music. This is a great buy! It keeps my 4 month old boy entertained for hours everyday. I can just put him in there and forget about him for at least 20 minutes till the music stops then he starts whining so I turn the music back on and he's happy again. He loves it! In fact, I love it so much that I sometimes pretend I'm a little baby and play in it too :)
Our pediatrician suggested that I put my son on his tummy for 10 to 15 minutes a day for play time, but my son would cry the second I put him face down, until I bought this gym. I put him on his tummy in front of the mirror hanging from the giraffe and it worked like a charm, for the first time ever my son was on his tummy and smiling :)
I highly recommend this product. The toys are really nice. The music and the nature sounds are also great, although the low volume is still a bit high, but it doesn't bother me at all. I love that you can change the position of the toys or you can hang any of your other toys to the loops on the arcs, just be careful what you're hanging (make sure it's safe and doesn't have any strings or anything that can wrap around your baby's neck or any small parts that can come loose and become a chocking hazard).
This gym is very high quality and attractive. The music and sounds offer a lot of variety and are not annoying at all. The toys are varied, cute and friendly-looking, and well-designed. I was in love with it, but my son was not! I think it was too much for him. Whenever I put him under it, he was fascinated for about 90 seconds, and then he'd shut his eyes and start to cry and not stop until I took him out. He is not really ever like that otherwise. I have noticed that he is very tuned in to the visual world, and this gym offers an overwhelming amount of visual input. Kids are so trained by tv and computers to need a lot of things going on in front of them to avoid being bored, and this gym seems like the infant version of a video game-- not a bad thing, but it's good to be aware when making that choice for them. I gave this gym away and got a hand-me-down Gymini from a neighbor-- it just has holes for links, and we attach one or two toys at a time, and my son is much happier.
